Dr. Soule earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Notre Dame in 2000. While there, she was actively involved in the marching, concert and jazz bands playing her trumpet. She next went to the University of Minnesota and got her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Right after graduation, she began work at a clinic in Bloomington. She was there for seven years. She started working for Minnehaha Animal Hospital and Pet Doctors near the end of 2011 and became the new Owner of Minnehaha Animal Hospital in April 2020. Her special interests include feline medicine, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
At home, she has two cats Madeline (Maddy) and Rick. In her free time she enjoys listening to and playing music and camping (well really glamping!).

Dr. Jacinda joined the Pet Doctors team in July, 2018. Dr.Jacinda grew up in nearby New Hope and attended St. Olaf College before achieving her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. After graduating, she entered private practice and had the opportunity of working with many talented doctors in many states across the U.S. While she enjoyed spending time in different parts of the country, she is thrilled to return to her home state of Minnesota.
Dr. Jacinda’s professional interests include challenging medical cases, particularly the management of endocrine diseases. She also enjoys working with dedicated pet owners to develop the best treatment plan for their furry companions. Dr. Jacinda keeps busy with her two teenaged children and their 3 cats – Alma, Biscuit and Boots.

Dr. Kevin Thorsgaard joined the team at Minnehaha Animal Hospital & Pet Doctors in February 2013. Kevin grew up in Bloomington, and earned a Biology degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield, where he learned it was possible to combine his interests in science, medicine, and animals into one rewarding career. He attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1990. Since then, working in private practices in the Twin Cities has given him the opportunity to meet thousands of people and help them take care of their special pets.
Dr. Kevin enjoys the challenge of solving medical mysteries, providing excellent preventative care, performing a variety of surgical procedures, and working closely with owners to give their pets the happiest, longest life possible.
He enjoys most outdoor activities and travel, especially with his wife of 25+ years. Dr Kevin currently shares his home with Alice, a very petite Sheltie and Thor, an energetic mini Australian Shepherd.

Dr. Feldsien is the founder and owner of Synergy Veterinary Specialists. With more than 20 years of veterinary experience, working as a general practitioner, anesthesiologist, and a surgeon in large University and Referral Hospitals, she realized the benefits of a more direct relationship between Surgeon and Primary Care Veterinarian.
A native of Australia, Dr. Feldsien obtained her Veterinary Degree from Murdoch University in 1997. From the very beginning of her career Dr. Feldsien knew she wanted to be a surgeon, however felt it was important to understand the bigger picture. Her journey began in small animal primary care practice in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Dr Feldsien partners with Pet Doctors to provide our clients and patients personalized care for complex and orthopedic surgeries.

Julia joined our team in 2020. She finished her pre-vet degree at the U of M but after working at Pet Doctors and seeing the different job opportunities she decided to get her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She has finished her Veterinary Technician degree and received her CVT designation in 2023. Even though a “young” technician she has demonstrated a skill level and communication ability that is far above a new graduate. It was easy to promote her to a leadership role and she continues to excel. She is a natural educator and mentor.
Julia and our clinic cat, Bruce, really hit it off and he now resides with her. She also has added 2 more cats to her household – Bellini and Alfred. In what little free time she has, Julia enjoys reading.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Abby as a summer “intern” between her 2nd and 3rd year of vet school. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology & Psychology from Bowden College. She will be a 2027 graduate of the U of MN College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional areas of interest are small animal medicine with emphasis on surgery and dermatology.
Working with people and their pets to improve animal health and welfare are why she is enjoying her job. The team at Pet Doctors makes her day fun and interesting. When she has spare time she loves reading, camping and staying active. Abby lives with a spunky Wheaton Terrier named Buddy.

Hannah joined Pet Doctors in 2024. Her ultimate goal is to go to vet school. She’s completed her undergrad work with a BS in Biology from the U of MN. She is working on the application and admission process and hopes to be selected at the U of M for vet school, but is open to other school options. Her main areas of interest lie in companion animal medicine, specifically large breed dogs. While technically a veterinary assistant, Hannah has gained so many skills as a veterinary technician and it’s been a great opportunity for her.
What she most enjoys about working at Pet Doctors is learning new things. Her co-workers and interacting with such wonderful patients and clients make her day a delight. When not working, Hannah likes to play tennis, go biking and read. She currently has no pets due to her school and living situation but will get a dog as soon as she is able!

Bio coming soon

Michael relocated from Oregon in 2025 to join the Pet Doctors staff. He has worked previously as a veterinary receptionist and expanded into the social media and communications position at the veterinary hospital. He plans to add additional skills by taking on the role of veterinary technician assistant to further his education.
Connecting and building relationships with pets and their owners, as well as facilitating the care they need to stay healthy is his primary motivation and enjoyment of his job. He has found the Pet Doctors experience to be fun and, as he said, he’s “learning from a group of brilliant, compassionate pet care pros” and is becoming friends with our clinic cat, Woody.
As a newbie to the area, he and his partner of 6 years are enjoying live music, classic and independent film, art and travel in their new “home”. He moved here with 3 cats – Trixie (14 yo), Janet Rice Krispies (2 yo) and Dougie Jones (1 yo).

A 2025 team addition, Makenna is a senior at the U of MN, graduating in 20265 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She plans to apply for vet school following graduation with an emphasis in companion animal and exotic veterinary medicine.
Makenna finds that playing a part in improving the health of animals is a very rewarding part of her job. The best thing about working at Pet Doctors is “everyone is so kind and we all have the common goal of helping animals”.
Makenna lives with 2 cats, Patch and Lacey. Away from work she enjoys dancing and spending time with friends and family.

Christian joined the Pet Doctors team in 2025. He did most of his pre-vet undergrad work at University of Arizona – Tuscon. He will complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Veterinary Sciences in the spring of 2026 after finishing his last 2 courses needed. Animal behavior and animal training are 2 areas of special interest for Christian in veterinary medicine.
Christian has been pleased to meet so many amazing pets and their owners at Pet Doctors. His favorite thing about working with this team, besides Woody (our clinic cat!) is getting to help patients feel better and their owners understand the treatment options.
Christian’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, and ATV riding. He also enjoys working on 3D printing projects. His pets include a mini bernadoodle named Sierra and 2 male cats (brothers) Hon and Chewie.

Emily is one of the first smiling faces that will greet you at Pet Doctors. She began working at our partner clinic, Minnehaha Animal Hospital, in 2015. Prior to this, Emily has held several customer service-related positions and is a long-time volunteer for the Minneapolis Public Schools and local youth hockey and lacrosse organizations. Emily holds degrees in English and Art History from St. Olaf College. She had always been a “cat” person until she added Lucy, a loving Australian Shepherd mix that she found through a rescue group in 2007. Though Lucy has gone over the Rainbow Bridge, Emily gets to “live vicariously” through our patients that we care for every day.
Emily is a lifelong resident of Southwest Minneapolis and resides with her husband and two grown children. When she is not working, she likes to garden, go camping, isten to live music and play any sort of game with her family

Katie joined our team in 2022. She is currently working towards a degree in echocardiography. She has several pets: a cat, a bearded dragon 3 ranchu goldfish and some cory catfish.
Katie’s favorite part of working at Pet Doctors is creating relationships with clients, patients and her fellow team members.

Nina became a team member in 2025. This is her first time working in veterinary medicine after a varied career in several industries unrelated to vet medicine (including motorcycle mechanics!). She’s had lots of client service experience and clearly has a passion for animals. Her welcoming personality and desire to learn made her a good fit for Pet Doctors. Additionally, English is not her first language which has been a big benefit to the practice.
Nina enjoys feeling like she’s making a difference in the health and well-being of our patients and their humans. She loves being part of such a caring, positive and wonderful team. She said she “looks forward to coming to work every day!”
Nina has quite the menagerie at home – 2 Australian cattle dogs, 2 cats, 3 snakes, a monitor lizard, a veiled chameleon, geckos, tree frogs and several fish aquariums. Besides taking care of all her pets, Nina enjoys jewelry making, foreign cinema, snorkeling, photography and herpetology.

Patti has been in the veterinary profession for over 48 years in a variety of positions and in 2016 was awarded the MN Veterinary Practice Manager of the Year. She received her CVT in 1987 and has worked as a veterinary technician, lead CVT, office manager and practice manager. In 2019 Patti achieved her CVPM-Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (of which there are <1000 nationwide). Patti finds great satisfaction in this industry and has spoken to veterinary and technician groups often over the years encouraging them to choose this career. In 1996 Patti rescued her first parrot, Higgins, and that ignited a passion in her that she (and her family!) never anticipated. Her work with parrots took her to Colorado for a period of time but family brought her back to Minnesota in 2012. She joined Minnehaha Animal Hospital and Pet Doctors in 2015 and finds great joy working with such talented, caring and compassionate teams who provide such excellent client and patient care.
She currently shares her home with a flock of 6 parrots, 2 cats and one [very tolerant] husband.

Woody was found on the street. Luckily, someone picked him up and brought him to us. We contacted his owners via his microchip, but they were not in a position to take him back and asked us to find him a new home. During his initial medical exam, his blood work revealed he was hyperthyroid, which is treatable but requires daily medication for the rest of his life.
Our intention was to get him regulated on his meds then find him a good home (we had volunteers!) but he quickly wormed his way into our hearts and has been a fantastic clinic cat. He ignores other pets and stays out of the way of us conducting our business here.
Note the “sneer” look – one of his adorable characteristics is his lack of canine teeth, removed in a previous dental procedure. So he will always have that funny look on his face!
